Cosmos Con envisioned a system where local artists, photographers, and cosplayers get well deserved support and exposure, and now we’re more ambitious than ever! We will feature local talent through inviting reputable individuals or groups as official GUESTS, to help them build portfolio, get “guest experience”, and show the rest of the world what remarkable talent resides within the NZ community.
We’re here to help New Zealand Talent get onto the world-wide stage!
The COSMOS STAR 2026 winners will get:
-Listed as the official guests of Cosmos Con 2026
-Guest table to sell their works / autograph sessions available
-Special stage / interview / panel time
-Their photo or artwork displayed on the Wall of Fame at the event and on our online platforms
How to become a COSMOS STAR?
Step 1:
Nominate yourself or an individual or group that you believe should be a GUEST,
Step 2:
Say something about yourself (or the person you nominate)! Your cosplay story, dreams, achievements, what you love, etc. You can be an artist, cosplayer, photographer, Idol group, J-pop singer, voice actor, or any title related to ACG, otaku culture & Cosplay!
Step 3:
share to social media! post a picture of yourself or them on your story / post / or reel, and tag @cosmosconNZ

FAQ:
Q: What categories are there?
A: There are no ‘set categories’ like the cosplay comp. However any ACG, otaku, or Cosplay related title can be used to nominate COSMOS STAR. E.G.: artist, cosplayer, photographer, Idol group, J-pop singer, voice actor, and the list goes on!
Q: What social media platforms can I share?
A: ANY! be it the mainstream Facebook, Instagram, or even large chat groups of 300+ people. 🙂
Q: Can I participate more than once if I’m a cosplayer, artist, and photographer?
A: YES YOU CAN! you can participate once per category, which tripples your chance!
Q: What if I was chosen as Cosmos Star but already bought a ticket?
A: There are a few ways around this. We are able to directly refund the ticket to your payment account, or you can even gift this to a friend/family member.
